The national e-Commerce roadmap is the first of its kind in Qatar.
It outlines the current e-Commerce landscape in the country, details challenges and inhibitors to success, and provides the framework to chart a path forward.
This roadmap is the result of a collaborative effort with local, regional, and international stakeholders across the entire e-Commerce value chain from product creation to consumer receipt of the product, and its successful implementation is dependent on strong collaboration and coordination among different stakeholders.
The document explores challenges by attributing them to four key pillars of e-Commerce, namely: governance and regulation, technology, e-payment and delivery. Through this approach the roadmap aims to fuel e-Commerce growth by achieving interdependent targets such as increasing the percentage of consumers owning online payment instruments, whilst also helping to promote payment gateways and online payment facilities amongst local enterprise. For the roadmap, please click here
